Provincial Department Leaders Visit Hangzhou Qimei Precision Machinery, Praise Its “Specialized, Sophisticated, Unique and New” Intelligent Manufacturing Strength
On May 12, 2023, a delegation of leaders from the provincial department visited Hangzhou Qimei Precision Machinery Co., Ltd. located in Xiaoshan, Hangzhou. They conducted an on-site inspection of the company’s R&D and production of precision cutting equipment, and affirmed its “specialized, sophisticated, unique and new” innovation achievements in the new energy and electronic material processing sectors.
In the production workshop, the leaders observed the company’s independently developed core equipment, such as the flexible connection special-shaped punching machine and the fully automatic copper bar rubber sleeve cutting machine. With a cutting precision of ±0.01mm and a high speed of 1500mm/s, these devices have served leading new energy enterprises including CATL and BYD. According to the company’s person in charge, as a national high-tech enterprise, Qimei has accumulated 22 patents. Its technologies like customized molds and fully automatic waste discharge can help customers reduce labor costs by over 50%.
“Survive by quality, develop by innovation” has been Qimei’s core philosophy in its 14 years of establishment. Currently, its product portfolio covers more than ten types of precision equipment, such as microcomputer tape cutting machines and foam slitting machines. These products are widely used in industries like new energy batteries, electronic insulation materials and textile webbing. They have passed international certifications including SGS and CE, and are exported to European and American markets.
During the inspection, the leaders encouraged the company to continue focusing on niche sectors, leverage the technical advantages of a “Little Giant” enterprise, and inject more momentum into the upgrading of Zhejiang’s high-end equipment manufacturing industry.
